2008-2009 Registration OpenAcademy Program OverviewThank you for taking the time to research the Dallas Texans Austin (DTA) Academy Program. Here is a brief overview of our philosophy and curriculum. The philosophy of the DTA Academy Program is to improve youth soccer players’ (U7-U10) individual technical and tactical ability while still providing a fun, safe, and competitive environment. DTA Academy emphasizes player development first. We believe this is the best path for each player to maximize their potential and enjoyment of soccer. While as a club we ultimately want to field winning teams at the highest competitive level, the staff of the DTA Academy firmly believes that competitive teams are ultimately composed of individual technically skilled players. In addition, as a player’s skill level rises their enjoyment of the game typically rises as well. While winning is not opposed to player development, player development is the priority. The DTA Academy is often the ‘next step’ for the U10 and under soccer player who is looking to put more into and get more out of soccer. Players often join our program from our local partner recreational associations PAYSL, RRSA and WBSA. Our program is, of course, open to all players and we encourage players from all associations to try DTA. Consider our programs below and to see which best suits your particular situation. If you would like, our Youth Director will be more than happy to discuss which program might best suit your athlete(s).
